As a HSer, Gene McCarthy was probably better than either McCarey or Centrowitz although I think Centro was injured for at least part of his senior year at Power.

If you don't know who Jim Hill is then your are unqualified to make this list.

I'd throw in Scott Eden, Robbie Perkins and George Watts.

That's an old list. There have been a few NYers who've run faster than Luis within the last 10 years or so.

But that's a CROSS COUNTY list. The new VCP isn't cross country, it's a track race.

He shifted because of injuries.

No, your list was wrong and you got nailed. What's the difference between what Fennell ran in 2002 and Gruenwald ran in 2006? That's right...nothing.
