When I first heard that he'd been signed by Nike I wrote it off as a result of his UO connections and that it would be a short-lived affair. 7:43 tonight though and all I've got to say is man, the dude the is killing it, very excited to see him smash his outdoor PR's.

Wait what?? Serious?? The dude killed it in hs and college. I believe he was 3rd and 5th at his last ncaa outdoor championships and first American in one or both. Obviously you weren't paying attention.

I was a little surprised by the time but you do realize he ran 745 in 2014 right? Yes outdoors but indoors with no wind is just as fast as outdoors basically.
He'll PR but it's not 1992 - a 13:15-20 guy will be a total non factor at the trials

you do realize that 13:15-13:20 guys finished 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th.... at the 2012 trials right?
Centro should race the 3000m at Worlds just to experience how hardcore the event is with the Africans. I don't think he's ever raced Ndiku and what that guy does with surging and his kick. He's raced Choge and I'm sure he's beat him over 1500m, but the Ethiopians all are pretty rough and hard racers. Would be nice to see Centro mix it up with some elbows.

Man, I just don't understand what happened to Ulrey over the years. Further, I really feel like Blank needs to come up with new tactics.
Tom Farrell ran a fine time and is in very good shape clearly but I think that he has run a fine 5000m time before, in the neighborhood of 13:13 when he was in college. Good to see Centro, Jenkins, and Wheating running so well. 1500's a bit short for Chelimo, but still solid to beat him and especially Blankenship. And Wheating really builds confidence from these wins, which he needs.

Incorrect. Oklohama State. I don't think he got nearly enough credit for running 13:15.31 1 month after his 21st birthday. His pb is now 13:10.48.

Since when do 13:26/3:38 guys get full-blown Nike sponsorships? If he were running those times anywhere else he'd have been lucky to get a mid to low-level contract with Saucony.

You have it exactly backwards: the fact that Dunbar was that close shows that he's in awesome shape, not that Centro's not.
It's a great result for Centro, an awesome one for Farrell and Dunbar.

Mead, Farrell, Dunbar, Levins all within a few seconds of Centrowitz means that the result is clearly nothing special for a two time World Championship medalist. Unless of course you are going to argue that Mead, Farrell, Dunbar and Levins are serious Olympic medal contenders. LOL.
It was a nice win for Centro over inferior (not world-class) competition. Nothing more. It's a shame that your understanding of the sport is so limited that you are unable to see something so obvious.

That's roughly the equivalent of 9 seconds off the 1500m record. So now a 3:35 1500 is something to get excited about? Indicates an amazing breakthrough for a two time World Championship medalist?
