Which type of elite runner would be best suited for running from the cops

I'm so far from elite even the local high school team is faster than me but, I outran the cops a couple of times in my youth.

They will not chase you uphill through the woods.

They will not chase you down narrow dark alleys at night.

As a kid I used to make it a game to suddenly turn and run when I saw a cop car. They will chase you EVERY TIME.

a stand out memory of mine was running with a buddy the long way around a fenced yard from some cops. this was our neighborhood, we knew it. the cop thought he would be smart and jumped the fence to cut the corner. the huge dogs in that yard persuaded them this was a bad idea. it was awesome.

the cops never made it further than 50 yards, and rarely did they radio in support. we aren't talking murder here....they also never thought about side yards, cut thrus, etc. they usually just want to drive up and down the street in their cars.

The message and subject differ by "athlete" and "runner"

But the when you consider athlete the answer is obvious: a decathlete like Ashton Eaton, if not the man himself.

He seems so honest and true that he would never have a need to run from the cops. He seems like he would make a great cop.

But think about it. He has a great 100 time to get a quick lead. He can hurdle things. He can hurdle or high, long jump obstacles, or vault. Fantastic 400 meter sprint endurance if necessary. Can sustain for 1500 meters or more. Plus he has the size, strength and athletic ability to react, throw things back at the cops, or just bust through things like hedges, trash cans, etc.

There is no cop in the world that would come close. The guy is tough, so even a few bullets might not slow him much.

I think any sub 5 miler can run from the cops and get away. You dont have to be "elite".

Your logic is what makes slow female runners believe that they can outrun a mugger or rapist.

I've had female marathon runners brag that they feel safe running in sketchy areas because those type of guys can't run a marathon. Like there was going to be pacing involved.

My friend was a 2:00 800m runner and got caught by a cop (he was just partying and drinking, nothing major). Poor guy got chased by a cop who had left the D1 college track team 6 months prior. Shitty luck. He even tried to lose him within his huge frat house, but it didnt work.

How many of you could run from Joe Falcon? The 200 meter record holder in the school I coached at became a cop (as did our shot put record holder). He could also out jump almost all of you.

We mean actual cops, not symbolic members of the police force. None of those guys would be a threat for a take-down.

As for the specific guy, Ashton Eaton would be the best, if it weren't for the decent chance he would be seen as Hispanic. The most surefire answer is Denis Kudryavtsev.
