While I don't tend to believe rumors like this, I think there is a reason British white men ran 1:41-1:43 and 3:29 for a very short amount of time and has not been repeated since.

For the same reason that American white men don't run marathons as fast as they used to. You can't push yourself as hard to beat your PB as you can to win a gold medal or set a world record.

But yeah, blood doping and amphetamines have been around for a long time.

With coe, his 1:41:73 wr was amazing, but it was suspicious he couldnt do anywhere near it in the olympics - only on a specially setup, untested blood testing-grand prix meeting. If he was so naturally qik hed do a david radisha: anihilate the opposition from the front.

Ya, I wondered about Coe and his sports medicine program. Never posted anything because of no evidence. Most users are blatently obvious like Viren, Flo Joe or a Ramzi and every 100m sprinter etc etc.. But not Coe, Cram, Ovett.

There is a black hole in info about those boys. Cram is so silly I think he was clean.

I presume the Brits of the time were doing what they thought was fair and square.

But that is what the Russians and everybody else is doing. Taking what they think their competition is taking. That is where cheaters think and they have a moral basis for what they do. This is the core issue / problem.

The grave robbing story is true. Growth hormone wasn't commercially available until the mid 80s. Where did Coe get his supply from? From the local graveyard, that's where. Very shady, and all completely covered up.

Again, Coe may have been blood doping, but toxoplasmosis is not a likely result of this.

I realise this is not relevant to the point you are making, but this myth needs to stop being perpetuated. You can't catch a parasitic disease from yourself.

Not at all. Neither I nor "it's true I tells ya" disputed those arguments for suspicion. What I have a problem with (which is what "it's true" pointed out) is that "I heard from a guy" is not a sound argument. Neither of us ever implied that the other arguments were not valid. "I heard from a guy" is useless because I'm not just going to trust some anonymous voice on the internet because he says I should.

He did it in sweden so other students knew about the trips as he missed lessons. Im sure eyewitnesses will surface but its scary with no support and rabid coe spike kissers. Is it moral to call her out on it, a married mum in her 50s? Look at the armstrong case... just women stepped up and were ridiculed.

He was vetted. He was vice-president of the federation for a long time before buying the Presidency. You don't just hire someone off the street to manage a thoroughly corrupt sports federation. You gotta hire someone as corrupt as the federation.
