It sure looks like the home plate umpire is calling the play dead or making some sort of ruling.

I does look like he is calling the play off. Arms up and a wave that looks like he is crossing his hands in a stop or do not do that motion while the runner is still on the basepath approaching the plate.

"Unwritten rules" like this are dumb as hell. If Bautista isn't supposed to embarrass the pitcher then there should be an unwritten rule that he isn't allowed to blast five thousand foot homers in a tied elimination game.

Anyone calling for Bautista to get drilled is a complete moron.

I don't see why people are so upset about the batflip.

I get the unwritten rules. It means the Jays-Rangers games will be entertaining next year. Guys will be getting drilled by pitches on both teams, but personally it doesn't bug me.

MLB is a fake sport full of dopers. If MLB was tested by WADA/USADA then no-hitters, perfect games would drop to one every decade. Just look at how bad WADA/USADA affected USATF at IAAF WC Beijing and you'll agree.

The rule is basically "don't be a dick".
