Meb keflezeghi and mo Farah happen to be different people. Men keflezeghi is a 40 year old Eritrean born marathoner who runs for America. Mo Farah, on the other hand, is a somalian born 5k/10k guy who runs for great Britain. Mo Farah actually is 5'5" and 130 lb but it's all lean muscle, and if by being "skinny" you mean that he has virtually no fat, then you are right. Unfortunately, for distance running, being "skinny" is much more effective than being 200 pounds. In addition these guys do eat a lot of protein but not as many empty carbs which helps promote muscle growth while not gaining fat so... No. He shouldn't gain weight just to look better.

Kenyans, Somalians and other East Africans generally become quite fat when they retire. One reason for this is poor muscle development. Another reason, is ingesting, but not burning the same number of calories.
When I went to Eldoret in 2009 - I saw many former star runners who had become "skinny-fat" - with pot bellies, but still relatively skinny arms and legs.
Did not help that many of these guys enjoyed eating chips with everything, as well as beer.
Lesson - when you age - cut calories (especially carbs) and do weight training ti tone up and maintain good posture.
