You do understand that she has a national championship going on now, right? The last thing I'd want to do as an athlete, is focus on anything other than my biggest race of the year heading into it.

Her response essentially reads: "Alberto is lying. He is only telling part of the truth. I will respond in detail to his claims after USA's."

I think you will hear a lot more from athletes after this week of racing. This is probably going to get a lot more personal than it already is. It's a little weird to watch this all unfold so publicly on social media and through open letters to the media.

I thought the same thing too (I'm not the same poster), but why limit it to blood doping? This TUE stuff and the thyroid stuff is kiddie corner BS, we all know they can get away with microdosing testosterone and EPO (and probably HGH in the off-season) if they wanted to. What's stopping them?

Also, there are rumors about personal stuff that haven't been stated publicly and I think that's causing some people to be tentative. I hope it all comes out so that we can just hear the truth and make things better without people worrying too much about consequences.

How much of a fúcking moron does one really have to be to conclude that the Gouchers have unfairly maligned Salazar, when between them they comprise barely ten percent of his "official" accusers?

If they were the only ones coming forward with a story AND they had no way to support it, that MIGHT be one thing.

Instead, Salazar has unquestionably lied about his conduct around the Cytomel with her (even Dr. Brown won't back him up here) and there are a host of other people making precisely the same claims as the Gouchers have.

I think your parents should apologize to you for contributing what was clearly the worst of what they had to offer DNA-wise, even if they had no control over the process.

The first important step in reconciliation is that Freud and Salazar apologize for flooding these boards with a few hired drones. The drones are clueless Brits. And yes, we American's know about the Matthew Freud's mass of dirt-laundry: fight with his wife's father (the Rupert Murdock) to the extreme of causing his divorce, secretly manipulating public websites for the benefit of client's, and being arrested for cocaine and cannabis possession. It mus be wonderful working for a bloke like that.

FWIW, I consider EPO and/or whatever known or unknown means that endurance athletes are using to to illegally increase red blood cell counts to be "blood doping." Let's face it, in the world of endurance sports, "blood doping" is a .50 caliber machine gun and every other form of doping is no more than a bb gun.

Who is it they are concerned about.

Not one person has actually said they saw Alberto dope anyone

Kara says algal is talking about a later date, why would she have the bottle from the earlier date and why did she not say in the interview that there was a second time.

It is all rubbish, there is no doping. This is nothing like lance. With lance a whole team was on epo for 6 years. I just don't see this here.

No one would pick madness over sal for their coach.

The 15 to 20 people you refer to are former athletes and others associated with the NOP.

I'm sure that if you stop to think about it for a moment, you'll realize that some of those 55 athletes Salazar has coached are still running for him. Nine, to be exact. Among them are by far the most successful runners he's ever worked with.

Think about it some more, and you'll probably conclude that if any of Salazar's current athletes are in fact involved with doping, these are not exactly the people most likely to come forward with stories of ongoing doping within the Project.

And don't be surprised if you do hear such an admission before long -- it's easy to forget how new most of this information is to the majority of people.

I'm just wondering who it is making these foolish-beyond-compare posts, and who these people are hoping to sway with them.

No way mo and rup are on anything. they are not even in the same country most of the time. And if they are not why would Alberto spend his time doping the other 7 b runners when he has 2 of the best in the world.

Of course they are on prescription drugs. But Alberto is clever enough to to get permission for everything he uses. every elite athlete can get as many free supplements as they want and no wonder they would try them all to se if they are any good.

How would anyone know? The rules permit doping, and they haven't tested positive, so they aren't doping. But Salazar is doping by his own omissions and no one is testing positive. Armstrong 2.0.

every doping story goes like this...it seems to me. Suspicions and rumors finally lead to an investigative story. Then the accused retaliates by assassinating the character of the accusers. Then there is some tit-for-tat and eventually the accused ends up on Oprah attempting to rescue some shred of dignity.

With doping, it sadly seems that where there is smoke there always seems to be fire.

This whole thing is really sad for our sport.

Alberto and Kara love each other but they don't want to be friends. That's why Kara moved to Oiselle.

Maybe she wanted to finish off the bottle of the drugs Salazar gave her before contacting USADA.
