Emily Sisson FTW- Is she the future of American marathoning?

Seriously Rojo? Jordan has been destroying Emily Sisson since the seventh grade. You guys don't do you homework do you? You're web site is often times much embarrassing. I'm sure this post won't last long.

Since Hasay is a former 1500 runner, I doubt she'll be a great marathoner. I'd take Sisson if I was a shoe company executive. Particulary given the Alberto allegations.

As soon as I read the first page, I knew which post was going to be quoted!

Wow. It's interesting to see threads like this resurrected and it goes to show how truly hard it is to predict the trajectory. We haven't seen Sisson debut at the marathon yet but her half being observed, she's showing she's pretty versatile. Always wished we could have seen Jenny Simpson move up in distance just to see if she was a similar story. I understand, why would she even bother when you're that world class at the 1500 but since Jenny proved she was phenomenal at cross country and 5k distances, it would have been interesting to see...

Any chance she'll move up in the later stages of her career if the 1500m slows down for her at some point?

It goes to show you can't compare two runners on paper. Jordan has simply looked more fluid and comfortable on the roads vs track. It could be both a shoe thing (softer Vaporfly's) and the fact that a rare few really are made for the marathon. Time will tell if Emily transitions as well.

I'm waiting for Emily INFELD to move up. Her 5k and 10k are much faster!!

Not to mention how good Jenny is at the road mile. I could see her doingrally well at road 10K/half marathon.

Im shocked everyone was so low on hasay because she was an ok 1500m runner, despite the fact she was almost entirely strength based and had no burst at the end of the race. People were acting like she was sebastian coe speedwisee (relative to women) itt

2 consecutive weeks of 176 jerry miles. 14 days

She went on like a 20 mile at like 6:10-6:30 pace a few weeks ago.
