I'll welcome evidence to the contrary, but, nope, sorry, no way.
World records were much faster back in the day when the OP was young. Back before today's youth became soft and slow.

Those are not "old" ages for those grades. Most people turn 18 during their senior year of high school.

Our school record in the Triple Jump was set in the mid 70's. In 2016 a kid broke it and the record holder just happened to be there- he asked me if he could help out with the meet because he was in town.
We put him at the jumping pits with the official.
He was raking and helping to measure.

Yes it is. But my record was 27+ years old before it was broken and to bring things current, is now #3 on the all-time list. Nice to see this thread get resurrected … and on Easter to boot! Cheers everyone.
It would be really cool if there were an online repository of track and field records for each high school. It would be a large database freely updated by the coaches at the respective schools. I wonder if anything like this has been undertaken to any degree.
