Why is Kate Avery not running NCAA?

I see she is entered in the Euros this weekend however it looks like she has qualifying standards that would get her in the mile and 3k for next weekend. Am I missing something?

Disagree. Those players enter the draft when the season is over, and they don't come back.

If she's on scholarship, the school is not paying her to run Euros. They are paying her to run in NCAA competitions. If she wants to forfeit that to run in Europe, fine. Just like entering the draft. Give up your scholarship for a runner who will compete for the university.

And you can't say indoors are not important. They wouldn't have championships if they were not important. Some coaches will keep their jobs just because they had success indoors.

Indoors are for working on your weaknesses or staying fit if you have motivation problems.

Avery is already on the razors edge when it comes to weight; I wouldn't want to add more anxiety to perform.

Rojo, the NFL is super popular not because every game matters more, but because some of the most athletic men in the world are encouraged to use PEDs and bash into each other....and the spectators are allowed to drink while watching it.

Indoor Track would be more fun if you could have a beer or three in the stands.

She is a 'supported" athlete by her federation. She wouldn't be at iona if there wasn't an understanding that if they requested her presence at a major championship she'd be available.

Because those are the only championships that really get athletes today paid. And I'm not referring to prize money. So yes, everything else is just preparation for that one championships.
