i really dont know the reasons why lagat is almost half a minute faster than shabunin at age 40. talent is a reason for sure. but i would like to know if there is more, because it´s pretty shameful for every masters runner and also for most of the young elite lads. training? diet? work ethic? something else?
aduck constantly rambles about IGF1lr3 as if it hadn't already been around for years and cheaply and easily available to pretty much anyone, not just whatever athlete whose performance he/she is trying to single out as anomalous. Lagat is no more likely to be on that stuff as anyone else.
And also gw50, which only people who don't mind dying of cancer would even think of using.

You know as well as I do that Lagat never failed a doping test. It's kinda' funny. If you fail on the A sample the authorities are not supposed to say anything until the B sample is tested. Truth be told, we should never have even known about the A sample business with Lagat. I think he's clean myself and always have..

Lagat beat Brian Pope's indoor American Masters record of 8:20 that he ran on the Boston University track. Which do you think is legitimate? One is a known EPO user.
I wasn't trolling. A duck and his ridiculous claims fuel the widespread delusions about this sport which have dragged it down. He's a microcosm of what is wrong with track and field, and needs to go.
Yeah, known EPO user = 8:03 2-mile indoor record holder.
Maybe we should treat Lagat like the Chinese women of the early 90's and boycott him.
It used to be really mean spirited doping allegations with little to no proof only popped up occasionally.
Now it seems like they are dominating ever thread on any impressive performance.
It's sad really, and honestly reducing my enjoyment of the sport.

That's right, people were SO mean to Lance Armstrong and Floyd Landis, et all. No one had any real proof of their doping, and they vehemently protested their treatment. Remember Marion Jones' tearful defense? And Mary Slaney's, as well? Lagat failed his A sample. EPO does not just show up in a sample. Why was it there in the first place? It was the B sample that was mishandled. Track and Field has long since gone the way of professional cycling.

Ex NCAA champion, runs 7:37 at age 40, which is faster than he (and all other runners in the history of the NCAA) ran in College.

I only see someone who is doing something that should be shared with all of us... His body is stronger now than when he was in College... Think of it. Between my college days and age 40, I managed to slow down by 2 or 3 minutes at 5K...
I don't believe that any ex All Americans have managed to be faster at 40, than in their College days... He needs to share his formula with the rest of us and we should be allowed to use it (not necessarily be allowed to compete) to help our well being...
I hope that he continues what he is doing and even improve on it... This could be a game changer...
I don't know why everyone is getting so excited about this. I'm OVER 40 (42 to be exact). And I ran a 12:32 3000m time trial two weeks ago. And that was without any rabbits OR competition. 7:37 just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Who cares if he dopes or not...
The game changer to "human kind" is that he has slowed down the aging process dramatically (using "whatever")
He needs to share with the medical community the "whatever"
I, for one, will not judge... What he did should be studied and be available to all non professional athletes...
I hope that this fact does not get lost in the forest of arbitrary WADA rules...
In my mind, this is no longer a sporting issue.
Other athletes have doped before him. But what he did is different...
