Fisher has taken official visits to stanford, wisconsin, villanova, and princeton.

Yes. Cleaning this thread up would be quite easy. How about we keep any information that proved to be value-added (factual), and remove any opinion/alternate reality/deflection responses that provide no value?So, factual accounts of the race, pictures of the race, and post-race interviews would stay. Uneducated opinions and defensive bickering- no matter how "serious"- would be removed since they were a complete waste of time.

It's really a strong year for both the men and women in terms of college level talent. I've heard Belf to Georgetown, but don't know if anyone else has made commitments yet. Word at the state meet yesterday had Fisher leaning to Stanford, but who knows if that is true.

Makes sense on Way. Up North, and especially Charlevoix is Drenth territory. Wouldn't be surprised to see them add Fuller as well.

Holly Bullough would seemingly be the lock of locks to MSU next year, given her last name.

Some observations...Hersha and Rebera are very good. Both of these guys should be trying to sneak in to the top 10 at FLMW.Brazier's run was very impressive. What did he run at the post-season meet in the 800m? 1:48.6? Has he ever taken a serious attempt at the mile? Guy is going to be tough to beat on the track up to the mile.Cole Johnson, Fr- 15:40. The 1600 M in Michigan will be scary - Wetzel ran 1:49.5, 4:10 (1600) (both splits) and just took 2nd in XC. He's a racer and is finally back after missing over a year after running a 4:20 full mile indoor as a Freshman. I predict 5 sub 4:10 at the state meet: Fisher, Wetzel, Berry, Brazier, Tangri. Wetzel has the most upside followed by Brazier

Wow. Assuming he can come back from his stress fracture, Hill's got a 4:10 under his belt from last year too. I knew Wetzel had run some fast relay splits (I think the 800m is on Youtube somewhere), but wasn't sure about his best open times. And Berry's just a junior too.Robinson had an off day yesterday, or he likely would have been around 15:10, especially if Hill was in the race. Their battle at Oakland County this year was awesome (breaking Tim Moore's CR by 1 sec).

Weztel has definite upside, but certainly not more than Fisher. If I had to rank upside at the next level, I'd go with: (1) Fisher, (2) Brazier, (3) Hersha, (4) Wetzel, (5) Hill, (6) Rebera, (7) Robinson, (8) Tangri, (9) Wouri, (10) Sargent. Berry is a really good, but I think he's a junior, and will be the top guy in a weaker class next year than includes Benham, Harding, and the kid that won D2 yesterday.

On the women's side, I'd say next level upside is (1) Fuller, (2/3) Belf/Way, (4) Farrow, (5) Dadamio (6) Smith, (7) Weiler. Not sure about Belf's upside (heard she runs a decent amount), but the results speak for themselves.

I meant among the non-Fisher group. Wetzel has crazy range (sub 50 to low 15:00 XC) and is MASSIVELY under trained as they don't want to risk anything further in HS - he was injured his Freshman year and would very likely have been the state 1600M champ as a Freshman (4:20 INDOOR and outdoor and 1:54 as freshman). In the state meet last June 1st (93 degrees) he ran in the following order:

1:50.5 anchor, 4:13.2 1600M for 3rd, 1:53.8 800M for 8th a few events later, then ran 50.8 for the 16ooM relay - finished all state in all four. At NBON he ran a 1:49.5 official split Saturday. Sunday ran 1:53. to win his heat then anchored the DMR FOR THE WIN in 4:10.6 while hanging off the back of the lead group. Wetzel will be a Penn Relays champ and maybe NCAA indoor champ in DMR 4x8 should he choose Villinova or Michigan. A close second is Brazier for me. Hersa is too limited, but will be a force in XC/10k

Grant Fisher, if you read these boards, take your visits at the two top Ivy League running programs, Stanford, then Michigan.

Every college will recruit you hard and almost all will offer a full ride.

I recall living in Ann Arbor when they brought in Kevin Sullivan at Michigan. Became a world class runner and 5th in the Olympic Games 1500.

If you don't go to Harvard or Stanford then go to Michigan and help them dominate and graduate with a degree from one of the top rated colleges.

How funny that you found that view - I'm in the green shirt going bonkers and my kid runs for a local rival school. That was an amazing race. These kids are all special - the 2015 class has been scary ever since Wetzel, Hill, Arrivo went 4:23 or lower as Freshman.

I work the 2 mile clock at the Michigan State meet. Fisher was 9:25 as he crossed the timing chip pads.
