That is remarkable. This Colorado team isnt't the best ever 1 through 5 but their depth 1 through 7 is insane with Pearson.

They might just end up redshirting Pearson if they think they can win NCAAs without him (and they could definitely win NCAAs without him).

Wonder why the times were so much slower than usual. I know Indiana's had a lot of rain this month. Maybe that had something to do with it?

Why do people place so much importance on times in cross country. Time means nothing in cross country. I think the reason why we get so much interest and excitement within the running community in cross country is due to it being all about competition, one Man versus the next and the same thing with regards to the teams. Time does not matter!

Conditions, both weather wise and underfoot, change so much from year to year it is pointless trying to compare times from one year to the next. Or from 2007 to 2014!

ok so Hurysz finished 9th and shows up in the official results now. Flotrack was there covering the meet and they were tweeting live results from a chip website instead of having spotters at the finish?

Gotta figure some guys were not pushing, regardless of the course conditions. 15:25 for leaders thru 5K = 4:58 pace. Leaders closed in < 9:00 (in the case of Ches 8:38) so last couple of miles = 4:40 to 4:50 pace for the top dozen or so.

Oregon did not run their top 7 so don't award Colorado the NCAAs just yet.

What, you think that it is easier to get the places (and times) of finishers from a spotter at the line, and then to be getting the score in real time in a race with 200+ affecting the score? Really?
