Daniels' vdot table. Her vdot should be about 71.7. Marathon time for 71 is 2:21:36 and it's 2:19:44 for 72. So her projected time should be around 2:20:10. There are also several vdot calculators that project 2:20:00-15 range for 30:22.

Thanks; there appears to be a significant difference between McMillain (more conservative) and Daniels' VDOT in that range.

My gosh man, just compare her form to Jeptoo! They are both strong physical specimens, but Shalane is powering down the street like a 10000m runner! Jeptoo is bounding, but concentrating on conserving energy over the distance, primarily wilth her quick, but minimal when compared to Shalane's, arm carriage.

I didn't realize how people on youtube are trying to make a case for Jeptoo's supposedly bad form by analyzing her form at the very end of a race, when she is alone coming to the tape, and she knows all the cameras are on her.

However, you really should also compare Flanagan against Jeptoo in real-time. Doing so better reveals the contrast of Jeptoo's mindfully faster cadence, with the shorter and tighter efficient arm carriage.
