The SOURCE I quoted referenced CR (Course Record). But if you look at his splits, you get a clearer picture that he was on WR pace up through about 15k, he started falling off to where he was 45 seconds off the WR at the half, and then blew-up (or packed it in) later:

Also wrong again. 44:06 through 15k is not WR pace unless you've been living under a rock since Before Geb had the record. You want to look like an idiot again? Keep going! The WR is under 2:04 these days buddy.

He barely lasted on pace to break the WR past 10k. In fact technically he fell off WR pace around 5k. He was on pace through 10k to break the WR, but that's differmce than running WR pace which he didn't sniff for most of the race. Thanks for trying.
