Female poster here...Men, don't even try to understand the appeal of "female bonding/empowerment" weekends. The whole thing sounds a little cheesy to me but Kara is marketing herself well and there will certainly be takers. Kudos to her for trying make a living as her competitive running career winds down.

There are few reasons a guy would be so angry about a woman hosting a retreat. One, she rejected him. Two, he has issues with women.
I've written it before, but I'll write it again. I strongly suspect that Kara Goucher gets so much hate on these boards because she's a fast and attractive woman runner. Oh, and she sometimes TALKS, which is totally unacceptable for some of you. Oh, and she's getting older. My heart is breaking for you quasi-pedophiles who can't be attracted to a woman older than 23!
