There are two places a man should shave: The upper half of the cheeks (face), and the neck.
And nothing else.

The only practical reason, as a runner, to shave your legs is if you are getting a lot of massages, and want to make them easier for your masseur/masseuse.
Anyone who does it for a reason other than that is likely exploring their more sensitive side. Which is a good thing, I guess.
I did it years ago because I was getting ART massage on my hamstrings and that was insanely painful with hairy legs. After I shaved them I noticed a favorable response from the ladies, not least because my legs also got more tanned without the hair canopy. The downside was that if I didn't shave them every other day my girlfriend would complain about the stubbles when we were in bed. So I eventually let the hair grow out again and that's how I've kept it.
Also +1 on the "where do you draw the line?" comment above. That is indeed a conundrum.
My opinion is that men who shave their legs are incredibly gay. I laugh at you fems!

You're 50. Your generation of entitled, greedy, soft, unproductive weaklings produced the housing collapse, an entire generation of failed policy makers and policy making, and private and public debts that will take my generation an entire lifetime to counteract. Also, don't complain too much about this generation, seeing as you're the ones who raised us.

We do what we want. What's more masculine than autonomy? Enjoy your hair and your lack of accomplishments, while I enjoy the dual pleasures of hard work tempered with occasional hedonism, complete with smooth legs, sexually liberated females, and a masculinity that I get to define for myself, not what some other guy defines for me.
