There already is and should be a guilty until proven innocent culture with all endurance sports. We\'ve been fooled over and over again. The governing bodies need to get their act together and put together biological passports and harsher punishments to stop the cheating. Until that happens I no longer trust elite athletes fully.

They shouldn't even bother to test rupp. This punkassbitch cheating doper needs to be kicked out of the sport, have all assets seized, and be sent straight to prison or the gas chamber.

Thanks for posting the list - most of the people had less than 4 tests, many just 1 or 2. The rational would be interesting to know. Are you tested more if you set an AR? Qualify for a championship? Win a championship? It's just strange, there seems to be a real trend (but not a rule) toward heavier testing of: Distance runners who train or recently trained in Oregon.

Here's a strange one though. A 39 year old who is still the best 3000-5000 meter runner in the US, one of the top in the world, setting AR's with a questionable test result from the past, and yet tested less than Lomong, Teg, Ritz, Meb, Shalane and Rupp.

Look, he may be cheating, anyone out there may be, but your statement is lame. If he is cheating there is a very good chance that it would come out over time, but what do you have that is conclusive other than the witch hunt mania created here at letsrun? Yeah it's basic psycology that if you hear anything enough it becomes true in your mind, but that doesn't make it true.

In 2013 he only ran 4 indoors but that's cause there was no worlds

2012 5 indoors and 10 outdoors. In all recent years he's done more than the two top end if you "thinks" combined.

Probably because Wejo heard that two people "offline" were talking about Rupp and drug use.

He had given them the revised location before, the doping guys goofed up by not doing their homework (grade 1 level, this is not difficult stuff to check where the athlete might be, and is it really a surprise if the winner of the Grand Tour might switch on a celebration night [duh, to miss the switch in those circumstances is way past 'not good at your job'].

Yes, I have some suspicions on Horner, but this is the the basis of them.

Also, why the raging on USADA, they have not exactly fallen down on the job, even if some other parties have not been very efficient. Note that all of those tests, in addition to providing specific evidence in case of use, also provide a much deeper level of information for the Biological Passport. Thus, not raising any flags on the Biological Passport despite having a lot of data is a sign of low likelihood of using compared to others in the sport.

The system today is designed to let those who are PEDS cheating, openly get way with it.

Unless athletes allow 24/7 monitoring, and a total ban is placed on personal Chemists, Doctors, Nurses, and Pharmacology Professors, athletes will continue to get away with PEDS cheating.

I'd have to agree, this is strange for sure. I was also suprised by how many tests Ritz had, one of the highest yet not too many races, and no PB's or anything major in terms of racing really.

Is it possible that Rupp, Ritz, Shalane, Teg, Lomong are actually just volunteering for testing? It's strange how all of them were tested so much relative to some really high profile sprinters. That goes against logic considering how many sprinters have failed drug tests.

At 28 tests for Rupp, that's an averages of more than once every 2 weeks. That clearly goes agains the mold of folks who reportedly could dope all they want and would never get caught in competition because they would have it out of their system.

Ummm, no. There are only 11 athletes who have volunteered to undergo more rigorous testing to show support for drug-free competition.

And, not a single name you listed is one of the 11.

To be tested out of competition by USADA do you have to be in the US? For instance, Ucency was in the UK last year. I think Lagat is based in Germany during the summers. Do they get tested by WADA or someone else in those cases?

Others were injured (Wariner, Wheating, Solinsky, Fernandez). If you are not competing because of injury do you get less out-of-competition testing? It seems like that's when people would be most tempted to use steroids.

Eaton seems really low, but is that a reflection of how seldom decathletes compete in a season?

I volunteer to tase rupp.

Rupp is a known sit-and-kick follower. He prefers to keep his competitons in front of him at all times, and never in the behind position. Tasing him would have to be done from the difficult front position.
