RIght, or those other failed midfielders Xabi Alonso, Cesc Fabregas and Mikel Arteta. But maybe he's just thinking of Messi as more of a striker type so he would fail more like Agüero, Torres and Negredo.

You mean the guy that Spurs helped bring to Arsenal. Funny that.
They seemed to enjoy it so much that they're now doing the same in order for Arsenal to sign Draxler too.
You're right, Spurs should have gone for the player trade plus cash, but Arsenal and Wenger was Özil's first choice in the EPL.
