martin mathahati is #72 a 26:59 for 10000 and 58:56 half marathoner, in his first completed marathon, he dropped out of fukuoka last year at 23 miles, saying the marathon is too long and he would never run one again.

Cragg posted on Twitter that he could not keep fluids down and cramped badly. Wonder whether he will take another shot in the spring.
Not a dnf - but he must disappointed, hopefully will get it sorted and get it right next time.. Based on his pacing of Chicago, he could have finished with Teg and run 2:12 and his 30k here suggests the same.
When will Adidas drop him?
Impressed he resisted the dnf, but less than impressed he took it out in 1:04 for the half and blew up before 30K. That's a delusional assessment of fitness for a guy that's been around a while and ought to know better. I wish the best for him in his next outing.

I don't think a sub 2:10 is delusional for a 13:02, 60:40ish guy. He's a guy that's seen a lot of success on the track by going out there and sticking with the best in the world. He's also dropped out a lot. He's always been a bit all-or-nothing. I don't imagine seeing him going out in 66 minutes any time soon.
I think the real story here is Fujiwara in boy shorts.
