I don't know too much about biking, but doesn't Lance ride for hours at a time? If a bike race were to last only 4 minutes or so (whatever distance that would be), I would imagine that a biker with more speed and less endurance should beat him. The question should be what kind of marathon time Lance can run.

You might be right but how could you validate your argument any differently than one who takes the other view? How could you possibly prove this? I saw what I saw! I would *not* have believed it either - and it angered me at the time. You *could* be right because I am thinking that a typical HS soccer player might be a little thinner lighter than a PRO. I know from experience that the typical guys that populate the distance track program at the HS level are guys that didn't have the talent/speed to play soccer/lacrosse or the size to play football. We had guys on the CC team that were cut from the soccer team for lack of speed. At the collegiate level these lower end guys are gone. But it really goes back to the assertion that track loses a lot of talent to the soccer programs. And it starts long before HS!
Alright then, he could probably tear it up in the marathon or 10k.
If he can come from almost dying to being arguably the best tour de france rider ever, then he could switch over to running and tear it up.
