For what it's worth, both Pre and Liquori were AR holders at two miles (Pre: 8:18.29 in 1974, and Liquori 8:12.74 in 1975). Pre's 2-mile AR lasted 1 year, Liquori's lasted 19 years.
At 5000 meters, both had ARs (Pre's last AR was 13:21.87, while Liquori's was 13:15.06). Pre was AR holder from July 1971 to August 1976. Liquori held the AR at 5000 from August 1977 through June 1982 -- each about 5 years.
