He's also run 28:07 and 1:01:38 this year. A monster in ekidens. He made up a deficit of more than 1 min on the anchor stage at Nationals a few weeks ago to give Komazawa Univ. its 10th national title. Only a junior but making his marathon debut at Lake Biwa in March and going for the sub-2:08 time requirement for a World Champs spot. Hopefully we'll be hearing more about him in coming years.
