Sunday's NYC Central Park runners being blamed....

You said it all... These monkeys are getting paid to not have a backbone and play whatever politics is popular? Whatever happened to representing your organization? Mary is supposed to be working for the runners whose eyeballs she gouges all year round... and when it really counts she throws them all under the bus??? W TF!!! The mayor is a different story, he's paid to be a politician and to do what the perceived majority wants.

Wait, I'm not done with Mary yet... she can't get away with this one simply because it "was the mayor's call". Over the past few years she's increased her wealth and popularity significantly on the backs of runners while they're forced to play slave all year round to get into a fu cking expensive run. 9 expensive races they could care less about plus forced volunteering to have the chance to pay $300 to run. Does that sound reasonable to anyone? Not to mention the grandstanding and self-adoration that people have to put up with for 30 fu cking min before each damn race goes off. I'm sick of her voice, sick of what she's turned this organization and how she cornered the running community, sick of the commercialism, I'm a stakeholder and I want someone else on the job.

The generators were always a red herring. If power lines are destroyed, and especially if homes are ravaged by flooding, you cannot simply "hook up" 400 homes to a couple of generators. The NY Post and Fox News were not interested in serious solutions, they were only interested in getting people outraged (and they succeeded). It had nothing to do with the runners, and everything to do with Michael Bloomberg's endorsement for Obama.
