I'll probably get heat from desi fanatics out there (and to be clear I am a fan as well), but IMO shalane is the favorite in any U.S distance race she enters until proven other wise. In my head Desi goes into the trials ranked #2

Why do you choose to just make things up? Just a quick glance at the trials entry list has both Josh Eberly and Alan Wagner representing BROOKS and both were previous Hansons-Brooks runners.
Mike Reneau just joined up with Brooks, and Josh Moen also ran for Brooks post Hansons
