New school record for Centrowitz!

    I know all of the Centrowitz's, and they are a really nice family. Matt sr. is about as old school as you get, and he still has his New York type accent, and personality. Mom is supersweet, and always is wondering how you are doing. Lauren besides being a great runner, is very intelligent. She is a little on the quiet side until you get to know her. Matt Jr. can seem quiet and reserved until he opens up and gets to know you. Their is 1 more Centro, but running doesn't seem to interest her the way it did the other 2.

    I will admit I haven't spent as much time with the family since the Matt and Lauren went to college.

    Wheating was pro when he ran 3'30. So, that would not count at all for a record. If the school wants to recognize it, then it should since they have their own standards. Collegiate records and times must be run in your school uniform and at an event where the school has registered you to run in. U of O can send him to Europe to race in a Duck singlet and then it would count. If he runs unattached, he cannot wear the uniform and anything he runs is not on NCAA record books.

    And if you go with the purists and only take those meets that are fully high school or collegiate then you must erase Jim Ryun's and Alan Webb's records. Ryun ran his 3'55 at an AAU international meet in the summer and Weeb at Pre classic in the summer. Those records are also, different from National Meet records.

    I want to see how far Centro can go at WC's. Strong competition all the way through. Hope he does well.
