Forgot the Lance Chronicles were gonna appear starting last night on OLN but caught the last half hour. It'll appear every Thursday eve. Mix of cycling, lots of testing, appearances, sponsor responsibilities etc. Good stuff, the inside scoop. Even mention of a chamois creme...vital to you-know-what.

Nope, been a Jan Ullrich fan ever since he won the tour. Never said Lance was washed up either, I don't think anyone in this thread did.
Millar may be clean but he does need a team in order to ride in the Tour. Cofidis has stopped racing, if you haven't noticed. They skipped all the spring classics and something tells me they won't be at the Tour either.
I've been a Hamilton fan since 1993 when I watched him win the NCAAs in Harvard Square. And I've been an Ullrich fan as long as Guest has. Lance is without a doubt still the favorite but true cycling fans have to hope that the Tour is tooth and nail the whole way. It makes for better watching.
My thought about L'Alpe is simple: everyone suggests it will be the make or break stage. I disagree. There are 20 other days of racing and there is no telling when or who will have a jour sans. I predict the key stage of this year's Tour will be elsewhere.

Not one of the best in the world? You stupid idiot! Lets see: By the age of 21 in 1972 he had a PR of 13:23, was 4th in the Olympics, Had 4 NCAA XC titles and at least 4 NCAA track titles competing against some of the best runners in the world -Rono, Rose, Stainings, etc. Are you f***ing kidding me? He wasn't the best in the world at his very young age, but he WAS one of the best in the world.
