I trained (well attempted to!) with Ethiopians in UK they were doing doubles most days. Sun was rest and traditionally in the camps that was a rest day. They would also have a complete rest day after racing and had an end of season brake for a few wks
They were aslo doing dynamic warm downs 20 yrs ago when everyone over here was still stretching
If you ask a Kenyan or Ethiopian it is very difficult to get their exact training. They sometimes go for a jog when they get up the do training at 11 then a long run in the early afternoon. But they won't even count the morning run
I trained with another guy ran 8:44 steepleshase on singles about 50mpw and he wasn't really naturally that fast but was a beast in a race
