It's ridiculous how easily KB won that race, running 2:23 for the last 1k. I'm curious how Bekele would have faired against Daniel Komen in his prime. If he had been in the 7:20 3k WR attempt I think they could have both gone sub 7:20.

Alamirew must have developed running barefoot, as he has a classic barefoot style for running.
I hope he keeps it, and doesn't get destroyed by the pressure of wearing ridiculous shoes.
Definitely worth revisiting that race. I'm impressed as hell by Yenew but there's a big, big gap between the 7:27 he ran yesterday and the 7:26 Bekele ran at Sheffield. He's not the new king yet.
I believe Geb's records have all been run at even pace.
Alamirew is very impressive, but let's see him run sub 12:40 for 5k, to have a chance of upsetting Bekele at his prime.
I like the way that Alamirew runs.
Mirew: I knew Allah!
Friend: Wow, ya knew Allah, Mirew!!!
that last step i called CERA. Unless he has already taken that step.

How's that? The "old king" hasn't been seen in public, let alone on a track, for nearly two years.

You are the most annoying poster in letsrun history by far. no one takes seriously one goddamned thing you write on here, so stop wasting your time and ours (mostly yours, because we all just ignore your tired, tired BS yammering)
I think Ventolin^3 has awesome analysis and I always read his posts. At least he doesn't hide behind a pansy handle like all the haters.

It is Isaiah Koech not any of those versions! Judging from Edwin Soi's performance(finish 2nd just a step behind Alamirew), I can say that he would have run 7:26 if not better! Both Soi and Koech train together. And since Soi is the weaker one, anyone's guess is Koech would have blown that field. But we wait until he tows the line again and judge his shape for 2011.
IT WILL REMIND US 199O'S DANEIL KOMAN VS HAILE GSELASSIE.
I CAN NOT WAIT REALLY
azemeraw bekele is the one to watch!!!!
