I was at the George Mason meet where Webb's wife was racing, and he was there watching her- but more significantly, I saw him talking to a few people on the UVA coaching staff, possibly Vig... there is definitely some strong evidence to point towards him going to Cville.

At mathematically even pace: 226.92 x (1 500 / 1 609.344) = 211.502326.
Most likely range, between 3:31.3-3:32.2 @ 1500.
3:30 is the equivalent to a 3:46 mile, no way he ran under 3:30 en route

Why is no one saying that Vig has never really coached a post collegian to success. Manzano left to be coached by Cook. Where is Hernandez now? Not in Cville.
Vig is focused on the college team it would seem and Webb would be out of the loop, not one of the guys, on his own etc. A lot like Barringer was at Colorado.
I agree with you about Vig being a college coach. Cook seems to make sense but there may be too much ego there with Manzano and Torrence. Li would be interesting but Webb doesn't seem like a Tucson kind of guy. Not really that many options when you think about it. I guess Jerry's group wasn't an option??
Webb was scene meeting with Peter Tegen yesterday in Palo Alto. Would be a great place for him to train. Excited if he comes to Cali!
Why would Webb go to UVA? Theres nobody in that town for him to train with.
p.s. and for the posters who will say Andrews or other UVA guys; its against NCAA rules...

He will be named as a volunteer assistant if he goes to UVA. If not then it is illegal.

I don't think anyone is saying they know for sure what Webb will do but I think a lot of people are saying Webb has always and will always continue to make bad decisions.
I mean the idea that going he considered going back to Warhurst...

Also what about the Gags New Jersey group??? Gags has as good a pedigree as anyone in the world as a middle distance coach.
Or how about someone like centrowitz? would he be a good fit? maybe a good old fashioned in your face coach would be just what awebb needs to develop some mental toughness.
Would keep him in the nova area as well.
Say what you want about centro but every athlete he has coached is tough as hell.
why not go back to george mason and have andy girard coach him? Maybe not known as a middle distance specialist but a sound coach in the area webb lived. hell, why not razcko unless the split was unpleasant.

Yeah, so a recruit talks about a possibility, probably read it on Letsrun himself...I want concrete proof before these threads are pronouncing his coaching change.
Hey sorry this might have already been answered, but why did he not looked into running with nick willis? It seems they would make good training partners. i do not know a lot about the details, so some insight would be nice.

He did look into that, Warhurst and that group was one of the finalists. He actually spent about a month training with Willis and the gang down under earlier this year.
