I'd say either Labatt Blue or Molson Canadian. Ex is pretty good too. Also Molson XXX will get ya drunk pretty quick.

All beer's good beer.
Some beer is better than others,
Free beer's the best beer,
but Aussie beer's the greatest.
1) kokonee
2) moosehead
3) molson golden
4) labatt
5) warsteiner
6) budweiser
worst:
1) the beast
2) natty light
3) any miller product
Different brews for different occasions.
Guiness - Best w/ a meal or as meal. Even good out of the can or bottle w/ the widget.
Sam Adams - Best compliment to a light snack or buffalo wings. Not only a brewer, but a patriot also.
Bud - Best after a run or cutting the lawn. Also good in the stands at the race track (Go Dale Jr. #8). Cans are a necessity for fitting snugly into a coozie.
yeungling (easily the best american beer out there)
labatt blue (brewed across town)
alexander kieth's india pale ale
newcastle
caffery's
brick beer
upper canada wheat
beast is great for many things: getting drunk, paint thinner, rat poison, colon cleanser. probably the most useful beer around.
Nuthin' like sitting on the bank on the Mekhong River in Vientiane at sunset after a good workout, having a delicious BEER-LAO!!!

Vitamin G! Guinness!
Well I've seen a few of my favorites from years past in the previous msgs including Sam Smith's Nut Brown and Oatmeal Stout, and also Newcastle Brown! I don't drink a lot of beer nowadays as it tends to dehydrate me, but my favs included:
Past:
Whitbread Ale
Watney's Red Barrel and Stingo Stout
Now:
Saranac Pale Ale
Saranac "specials" that you can only get around holiday time:
India Pale Ale, Maple Porter (I wish they'd bring that one back), Belgian White.
Generally, I can't stand most of the popular US beers (Bud, Miller, Coors, etc.). May as well be drinking mouse piss.
Guiness is always special; best out of a tap of course.
Sierra Pale is the bestlarge production beer.
Stone brewery in San Diego brews a limited production beer called Double Bastard ( a stonger version of its arrogant bastard barley wine).
Homebrew is the best!!
Another vote for Aussie beer. Shout me a BV, mate!![quote]SDRunner wrote:
Oops! I meant VB of course, not BV. And none of that Foster's roo-piss.
Best:
Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout
Newport Storm Amber Ale
Harpoon IPA
Guinness
Chimay
John Courage
Boddington's
Coors O
Fuller's ESB
Murphy's
Worst:
anything Natty
anything Genny
anything Busch
Red Dog
Pabst
Schlitz
Coors Light
Black Label
Corona (without a lime)
Grolsch (sp?)

Aass - I forgot about this one.Great beer with a great name (although they pronounce it differently).Pretty sure its Norwegian.
Aass (Norway) makes the best pilsner.
My favorite:
Ales:
Fraoch
Chimay
Orval
Jacobite
Bert Grants Pale ALe
Blond/Wheats
Weihenstephaner
Pyramid's Heifeweizen
La Chambly- Probably my favorite Canadian
Lager:
Sleeman
Stout:
Guiness- of course
Malt Liquor:
Olde English- doubles as a furniture polish!
Chugging beer:
Coors Light
Cheap beers, but won a taste test I did
Schaefers Light
Iron city Light- Did any of you actually ever try this beer? It tastes a lot better than Budlight or any other popular light beers
I've had many nasty beers in my day, including Black Label, Maxx,Olde English, etc, but the worst ever had to be Oly Gold. I think they quit making that shit.My buddy used to compare everything to the price of a case of Lucky. You used to be able to get a case for $7.00.( Need a new pair of Levis? That's $21.00. "But that's three cases of Lucky!")
Other buddy would walk in with a case of that and always say,"Wanna get Lucky?"
I still prefer a good old Bud Light in a bottle, but did enjoy Melbourne Bitter and Victoria Bitter the last time I was in Australia.
I knew I'd have a purpose on this board eventually. :-P
Favorites (depends on time of year):
Sol (Mexico)
Guinness or Murphy's (Irish stouts)
McMenamin's Hammerhead (Portland, Ore.)
Easy Street Wheat w/lemon wedge (Fort Collins, Colo.)
Lefthand Sawtooth (Boulder, Colo.)
Grolsch (Holland)
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (Chico, Calif.)
Old Speckled Hen (Humboldt County, Calif.)
Tree Frog Stout (Triple Rock Brewery in Berkeley, Calif.)
Holland Brand X (Holland)
Singletrack Copper Ale (Boulder, Colo.)
Worst, especially when warm:
Old Milwaukee (& Light) 1851
Billy Beer (heheh)

Brown Derby
Rainier Ale (Oh Man!)

Mickey's Wide Mouth
American pisswaters: Bud, Coors, Miller (& Lites)

Olympia ("It's the water, and a LOT more")!
Colt .45
Schmidt
Strohs
Schlitz
Meisterbrau
Lone Star
Anything with alcohol, except hairspray.
