Maybe I did get suckered in by the 83 new members of the House, most of whom ran on a platform to control spending. I thought (and still think) that this is a prominent wave. It may take another election cycle to get more folks serious about cutting spending.
It is also going to take the Senate to get on board and of course a president willing to do it.
Is there really anyone who thinks that the government is not spending enough? Wait, there are: Joe Biden and Barack Obama,and many other liberals from same districts even as they claim they want to control spending are blowing hot air about $5 billion for rapid rail.
