Let me just say I don't think Vaughn is dirty, I don't think many elite distance runners are. It's just hilarious the double standard that exists on here. Trafeh would be ripped to shreds had he done the same thing because for some reason he is viewed as a bad guy. Vaughn has the good guy tag so to suggest he does drugs is so awful despite having done something that has caused drug accusations in the past.

Brent is as legit a guy in this sport as they come, he even views inhalers and supplements as a form of cheating, to say that he is dirty is just plain ignorant. He had the flu the week of houston and had some breathing issue during the race around the 10k mark, he dropped out cause he knew he wouldnt catch the leaders once the breathing normalized and figured he could turn around and run cross this past weekend. give credit where credit is due and stop throwing darts for the sake of bad mouthing a performance

Congratulations to Brent; now the key for him is to be somewhat consistent and competitively for the long season of xc and track. Wishing him the best!

You are a moron who can't read. I think Brent is clean. Just pointing out that this is the circumstance where many would point to PED, espescially if it was Trafeh who had done the same thing. However, because everyone view Brent as "nice" and "legit" he gets a free pass.

I think what many people are forgetting is that this kid ran a 13:18 IN COLLEGE - he's the CU school record holder (over Culpepper, Goucher, Torres, Ritzenhein). This is just natural progression.

think about this: everyone who has held the school record before him has ultimately won a national title and/or gone on to the olympics.

Obviously you don't know Brent or his history, so if you would like to make a blind accusation for the sake of stirring a pot please post your real name when making one instead of hiding behind some alias

He's not saying Vaughn is dirty. He's pointing out that Trafeh is plagued by drug accusations without any hard evidence behind them, using Vaughn as a point of comparison.

Anyone know if Vaughn intends to run the 2012 marathon trials?
