"The conversion of beta carotene into vitamin A is driven by thyroid hormone."
And this is reason why hypothyroind patients usually turn orange after eating carrots

(Cr). Keyvani,
et al, found that low vitamin A levels are
associated with an increase in the prevalence of
goiter in subjects under 18. After the age of 18,
females were more affected by goiter than males,
who were found to have higher vitamin A levels.4
An increase in tissue estrogen sensitivity in the
presence of vitamin A deficiency may explain the
increased prevalence in women.5 Zinc deficiency
has also been found in children with grade 1
goiters in conjunction with a deficiency of
vitamin A.6

Vitamin A therapy in patients with documented vitamin A deficiency produced an increase in T3, thyroxine (T4), FT3I, FT4I, and free T3 by dialysis,
One point for you - seems in modern society there's no vitamin A deficiency in hypothyroid patients. I have study somewhere on old harddrive with results counter to this, but it would be hell of searching.

There is a high (approx 40%) prevalence of B12 deficiency in hypothyroid patients

Documented sulfoxidation-sulfation inadequacies call for sulfur-sulfhydryl repletion and other liver p450 support.
And just to inform you, Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) were used once as chelating agent in case of heavy metal poisoning.

Selenium deficiency may contribute to cardiovascular disease risk in these patients.

.... and three known deiodinase enzymes (which convert one thyroid hormone to another).

Experimental findings have demonstrated a protective effect of selenium on methylmercury toxicity
Cmon, you have hypothyroidism for 8 years and still didn't fount out that B12 deficiency is common in this disease? Still didn't fount out that selenium is mandatory for FT4-FT3 conversion?
