That's the type of good advice a life well lived will yield. Serious thanks for the insightful nudge.

Happy New Year to all. Hold back nothing in 2011.
had a pretty inconsistent week last week due to work and txRUNNERgirl being in the hospital. She had viral pneumonia and it took them a while to figure out what was going on. I got in an OK run on Christmas day and a solid 7 mile progression effort on the treadmill with my last couple of miles at sub 6 pace.
2011 goals are to be consistent in training, to have a couple of decent half marathon races before Boston and then hopefully run under 2:50 there and 2:45 at New York. In between I'd like to take a shot at breaking 5:00 for the mile as well. The real trick is just to stay healthy and to try not to let life get in the way of enjoying running.
Greetings swift old friends. My 2011 goals are to toe the line with many of y'all boys in the M50 middle distance races and/or any Masters gig. My 2 year injury bugs seems to be squashed and I have benefitted from 6 months of patient slow base miles plus one workout per week. It's true... recovery days are THE most important thing we manage in order to progress. Ran a proper 9-lapper tempo run on the track yesterday with Grant HS team. Coasted thru 3000 in 10:38. Feeling good. See some of y'all boys in ABQ.
