At my state meet one runner on the front of the starting line (he was one of the best there) apparently needed to piss a few minutes before the race. He preceded to pull down the front of his uniform shorts and piss right there. Although some people talked about how weird that was and why he didn't go somewhere else, people didn't care, but this may just be normal in cross country.
I used to do the local summer swimming league when I was a kid. One of my friends was really good. At one meet he was swimming the freestyle in the main event. He dove in and his suit came right off, leaving him stark naked. He proceeded to blow everyone out of the water as if nothing had happened.
I once wore shorts to the lake that became "see-through" when wet.
School didn't go as badly as I thought. Very few people knew about it and I was able to laugh with them. We'll see how practice goes. I guess as long as I can laugh about it, I'll be fine.
One of my friends told me this story. When they were in middle school they were having a pool party. Some of the boys and girls were playing a game that involved the boys carrying the girls around on their shoulders. In the middle of this, one of the girls had her first period. If she can live that down I'm sure you'll be fine OP.
this reminds me of when our state cross country winner had his picture on the front page of the local paper when he was coming down the final strech...with his balls hanging out, HAHA, i didn't feel bad for him

Yeah, I asked a girl once why she was trying to turn the water into kool aid. Weird, she would never go out with me after that. So, I turned to fat guys named Chuck.
I remember back in 1990; in which I had about the same embarrassing moment feeling with a pair of running shorts without a liner. It was a 10k race back then. The shorts were a 80's team split style short that was purchased for the team at the time. On one of the sections of the course, a moderate cross wind was blowing from my right side. No one watching on that section except one lady in her 30's. As soon as I saw her, I reached down quickly to adjust my shorts to cover myself from the side. The problem was the wind. I remember her yelling out and saying, "cool/nice/way to go!".
I was a track meet and the guys were all lining up to start a race. There was a dude wearing tight white compression shorts that left nothing to the imagination, I mean nothing. The starter raised his gun, did a double take, and sent the guy off to put anther pair of shorts on. Held up the race for five minutes while he located a pair. He didn't seem the slightest bit embarrassed about the situation but rather pretty pleased with himself!
