Why ruin a perfectly wonderful month like June?

Christmas is a religious holiday for some and a retail holiday for others. I don't know why it matters to anyone how another person celebrates (or doesn't celebrate) it. I don't know why people care so much how other people celebrate this time of year. And that's not just directed at very evangelical Christians. Atheists, Jews, and non-Christians alike all fight to secularize this holiday and take all religious meaning away from those who treat it as a Holy day.
It's childish and selfish (on both sides). Let people celebrate as they wish, and everyone just grow up about the whole thing.

Even if you are not a follower of Christ or see the bible as largely metaphorical as I do, he's a pretty good example of how to live your life, and there's plenty of archaelogical and historical evidence supporting his existence. Hard to say that about many other "prophets."
Actually there isn't very good evidence that Jesus was a real person. I'm not saying he wasn't, but it's quite clear that if he existed, he was nothing like the character depicted in the New Testament (no miracles, no special events surrounding his birth or death, not viewed as important by virtually anyone, etc).

That is why there are ESL classes.
No. The point of ESL classes is to teach these kids English so they can be assimilated into the regular classes. You obviously know little about the American education system. The goal is to get everyone into the same environment.
You obviously have no understanding of an ESL class...
Have you actually read the No Child Left behind laws?
Obviously not.....
Assimlation is of course part of the curriculum but it is not how you put it. Forcing children to learn English is the exact opposite of the law or the intent of the law.
Once again there IS NO NATIONAL LANGUAGE....Go to your local DMV and see what language options you have.
The government has no legal power to force someone to speak English. Please learn a little about the Constitution and your local state laws.

Just like the government can't force you to buy stuff! Oh wait....

totally differant areas.....
I'm guessing you can't see the logic in every American having insurance and how this would save a lot of tax paying money....
but if you can't see that then there is no hope for you.
I see the logic, but the government can't force you to do anything (by your logic) therefore it is unconstitional.
And actually the two issues are quite similiar in regards to constitutionality of the governments actions. Perhaps you should read the Constitution before you go blabbering in here like some kind of expert.
Wow you guys are all all retarded. GTFO of xmas' back. Let it in schools, some peole dont celebrate it, btu a majority do. Its majority effing rule, not minority rule. 10% of people shouldn't dictate everything. Put up a menorah or some crap idgaf. Its freedom of religion nto from religion. after deciphering that post, I agree with you 100%
It's no wonder America's education system is shit. People want schools to teach about religion, when they should be teaching math and science.
Teach religion in your own god damn house.
It is not majority rule, that is not how our system works. our system of government is set up to protect minority rights. That is one reason for instance that every state as 2 senators. Ever hear of the tyranny of the majority or mob rule?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyranny_of_the_majority

Here's what a regular church goer (Methodist Church) thinks about Christmas:
1) Radio stations that start playing ONLY Christmas music at Thanksgiving need to be boycotted for the rest of the year. The ONLY reason they do this is to get the listeners in the mindset of Christmas and the BUYING that goes along with that, so their advertisers are happy.
2) I hate the "Christmas Season" thing. As far as I'm concerned, Christmas is one day...Dec. 25.
3) Christmas would be more awesome if it were in June or if I weren't living in Ohio for it.
4) People who want religion of any kind in the public schools need to be evaluated for possible mental disorders.
5) The song Carol of the Bells is the scariest Christmas song ever. Listen to that song and imagine scary clowns coming at you with knives. That song could easily be the theme song for a horror movie.
I'd rather be dead, than be a part of your brood, miser Claus.

Hmm...I wonder why those Christians came to the USA.
Public schools should not celebrate any religious holidays.
The Public should not celebrate religious holidays in public.
Don't people want the separation of church and State?

Yeah. Why can't you European savages invent your own holidays ! Why do you have to steal Xmas from the Black Man ?

Ha! I'm no miser Claus. The amount of money I spent on Christmas this year is crazy! The most I've ever spent, and man it's a lot. Some people buy cars and such as Christmas gifts, but I say that's BS...that was a necessity that you happened to coincide with Christmas. Flagpole doesn't buy NECESSITIES for Christmas...they are are stuff to have FUN with.
