Actually what you just wrote might go down as one of the most moronic posts ever made. This isn't football. Probably 99% of running injuries are training mistakes. Not really liking the chance for Desi to beat Kara either. Lucy says is most likely an idiot.

Tune, just 23 years old, and Kosgei both have terrible leg speed over 10,000 meters (insert major sarcasm). Tune has run a low 1:07 for a legitimate unaided half marathon. I will let you research her 10,000 best for yourself, as well as Kosgei's.

Kara doesn't run with guts and push the pace (like her coach did), she runs off of a slow pace and then complains about the early pace after the race. Alberto never did that.

First of all, I am not any other poster here. So, you've already proven yourself capable of making incorrect statements, and talking about things you have no idea about.
Second, successful training is not just applying a proven program to an athlete and when they get hurt blaming biomechanics. That is bullshit.
Everyone has limitations. Someone with good biomechanics might toleate 140mpw. Someone with poor biomechanics might max out at 75mpw. As a coach, I need to work within my athletes' limitations. Sure, if possible, work to reduce/eliminate those limitations over time.
Make no mistake, whoever tries to blast through biomechanical limitations by doing too much, too soon, too hard, or too fast and blaming the biomechanics and not the athlete/coach/training program is the idiot. (That would be you, in this case).

Just in case you're not understanding my reasoning by saying "most injuries are traing mistakes", I will try to clarify.
Training, in my world, consists of all elements important in developing a runner. 1.) Actual running mileage/mix of workouts; 2.) Supplemental training (strength, flexibility, plyos, etc.); 3.) Nutrition; 4.) Rest/recovery
It's important to note that not all injuries/training mistakes can be avoided (that's how we learn), but they can certainly be learned from and hopefully not repeated.
So, think about what are the most common running injuries? Overuse? The runner attempted to do more than they could handle at that time. That is a training mistake.
Bad form ("biomechanics") leading to breakdown? Somewhere a training mistake was made. Perhaps attempting too high of mileage and/or intensity; Perhaps not dedicating more(any) time to a strength/flexibility program that would have improved or corrected that bad form, and allowed more miles/intensity in the program. I fail to understand how you can not blame the training in this case - my body will only handle X miles. So, I did X+15 and got hurt. Biomechanics is the problem!! Yes, but it was also a training mistake!
Poor recovery - could be inadequate nutrition, inadequate rest (recovery or sleep), too much training, etc.. Somewhere, a training mistake that can be corrected.
Poor race results because of "choking"? A missed training opportunity/mistake. Training can & should develop the physical and psychological aspects of performance.
I'm am always eager to learn, so please educate me if there is a flaw in my thinking. Injuries = Training mistake is certainly my opinion, but I have developed this opinion from my own experience and by observing others. I can't think of an example of injury that wasn't caused by a training mistake (other than a freak accident).

To the others that have said well Trent went from 2:21 to 2:12, who has Salazar done that with. Well he doesn't have anyone that slow. It is much harder to go from 2:12 to 2:08-9 than you might think. All of the athletes Al Sal has are trying to make the Olympic team. Hansons have only had one person make an Olympic team.

Anyone under the illusion that the Hansons' group, and in particular Mr. Sell aren't talented are fools. Sell is as talented a runner as Ritz. This blue collar crap is a huge load of bunk. Sell is an incredibly hard worker. Ritz is an incredibly hard worker. Sell is not injury prone. Ritz is injury prone. They are both great runners.
Desi and Kara are much more similar. They are both passionate and hard working runners. Don't start fake drama. Let the best get out there and compete.
Sell is quite talented but he's not as talented as Ritz. That's just a silly statement.
Kara and Desi are both very nice and very talented. Okay, what's next?
