Some of the conference threads get pretty long. I bet there's someone who's read every post on the PSAC thread which has got to be in the thousands.

I've personally always loved the thread about the guy who eats whatever raw fruit is cheapest at the grocery store. I can't find a link to it, but I remember him saying he ate like 40-50 bananas in a given week. I think that one got pretty long (and hilarious).

I remember one from a few years ago that seemed to explode, then disappeared from the board.

It was about some coach in Washington or Oregon and how he allegedly cheated all the time (recruiting...).

I think it was up to over 300 posts in just a couple of days before it disappeared. Never saw anything like it.

The success on low mileage thread was pretty awesome, Jim Spivey posted a lot of great stuff on there. Think I read every bit of that one.

The bananas thread guy mentioned a few posts ago said that he would eat 30-50 bananas at a single meal.

It was years ago. I remember that I stayed home to work at home and got nothing done. I must have been bored or drunk or something because I remember laughing until I cried looking at those pictures and reading comments. I think it was deleted within hours. I felt bad laughing at people.

I also read the original Hadd thread, but I think I actually printed it out and read it piece by piece.

This one cracked me up! It came at the end of a bad day and cheered me right up. :)

My favorite was a thread about the "Elite Training Group" coached by a guy named Marshall Birt. His training philosophy was to have his athletes run as far as they could at World Record pace for whatever event they were training. They worked out every other day to allow for recovery and did no other running. The athletes truly believed they were going to run WR's with this philosophy.

The website is worth exploring for comic relief. Check out the events they anticipate invitations in their "Track Meet Schedule," "Athlete Bios," and "Press & Media" sections for some truly hilarious nuggets
