The injury keeping me out of racing for CU right now is a concussion from getting hit by a car. This has nothing to do with the training program. Don't just assume people are injured from high mileage. I have had friends get injured while only running 35 miles a week or from tripping on a trail. Stop jumping to conclusions and be happy for Jessica.
