At the olympics, when you just won a gold medal and press is bound to be around, on the olympic facility. That to me is a lot of bad messages. A wild night on the town for the ladies, why not? A case of white trash beer on olympic ice, in uniform? Not so great.
Look for Phelps to crack a cold one in the pool and Bolt to sprawl out with Powell on the Olympic track with pack of Red Stripe in a couple years. I heard Kim Yu-Na had a bottle of Soju with some of the Korean Speed Skaters on the medal stand last night, sprawled out like it was a college party.
I believe the message is, "If you win a gold medal you are entitled to a few cold ones with your teammates."
funny, that's just what i said except I said it like this:
"A wild night on the town for the ladies, why not? A case of white trash beer on olympic ice, in uniform? Not so great."
I didn't say for a moment that they didn't deserve to go out and party hard. I don't care if they scissored and puked all over eachother, but again, should that be done in on the olympic facilities? Where press is bound to be?
It's simply a matter of where and when, not what.
