Nothing is impossible, but not likely, even if Susan keeps it close, she is not going to beat Jenny in a foot race to the finishline. I can't see Susan winning even if Jenny fell down, but I do think Susan will give Jenny the biggest challange she has had this year and will be confortabely in second.
All things being equal Jenny will win by 30 seconds.

was it not this summer when many on letsrun thought Jenny was making a mistake doing the SC as oppossed to the 1500 or 5000? Did not many think her best medal shot was there? i knew kuijken was fast but damn, that is giving a lot of praise.
I do think it would take something like flu, or injury to prevent Jenny B from winning. If neither case happens i do not see jenny b getting beat.
i of course am quite biased in this case,

Aussie Gator Becky Lowe is a rough hope, she won Australia's biggest road race 60,000 competitors as a 19 year old. Barringer is logically the short priced favorite, but stranger things have happened.
9th at Pre-Nats, but somehow in the same leauge as Jenny B and Susan K. Sorry, the girl won a WEAK regional with the regions top runner sitting out, and an even WEAKER conference. She'll be LUCKY if she cracks the top 10.

I'm a big fan of both of these women. I really enjoy their Flotrack interviews and they both seem like great girls. However, Jenny is clearly the favorite. Those who think Susan has a chance like to make a case for her 1500m speed, but look how much faster Jenny's PR is at 1500m.... and it's not even her primary event. She has Susan beat in every aspect. As many people have said, anything can happen on race day and that is certainly true, but I gotta believe if Susan pulls this off that it should be considered one of, if the not THE, biggest upset(s) in the history of collegiate cross country.

As I said earlier...it will be Barringer. However, look for Bazzari to go after Kuijken if she tries to race Jenny. Angela had a wicked kick a Pre-Nats.
Jenny can break 19:00.
Almost as funny as Lowe beating Kuijken, but BIzarri at least gets more respect because she did win the NCAA 5000. But, head to head against Kuijken she can't even compare (see indoor 3000m, NCAA XC last year). Good runner, but Bizarri is racing for 3rd...the top 2 spots are taken.

Bizarri couldn't even win the Big 10 meet and nothing indicates that she has closed the gap between herself and Jenny B/Susan KShe won't even attempt to run up with Jenny and Kuijken, just like the NCAA indoor 3000m. Kuijken may well lose to Barringer, but it won't be because she doesn't try to challenge her (see NCAA XC vs. Sally K last year, and NCAA 3000m indoors this year). Jenny beat her by a good chunck at Pre-Nats this year, but it is obvious that she was running back in the pack to help her teammates. It is obvious that Jenny is the overwhelming favorite to win, and Susan is the overwhelming favorite for 2nd, and everyone else is running for 3rd place.

I guess it's a good thing Bizzari didn't read this thread. Otherwise she might not have bothered to show up for this race. I guess she can stay close enough to Kuijken. Way to go Bizzari. I didn't think she was getting enough attention coming into this race. She won the ncaa 5000 outdoor and made the world team and that experience had to help. Congratulations again Angela.
