two great recent ones were definitely barringers kick past willard last june in europe to get the AR...willard looked like she had the race won after the last water jump and barringer turned it on and got her
in terms of highschool there was christine babcocks kick for an absurd underdog (at the time) victory over an epic field in the california state 2 mile. Field had blood st geme kosinski murakami and sophomore babcock was pretty much unknown on the national level back then. St geme seemed to have it in the bagged and babcock flew by everyone in the last 150 meters or so

Obviously I'm a big fan of the Brits but I recall watching ELG in a slow 1500m race once (3.40 odd)and commentators going on about how he was looking vulnerable and that he didn't have a devastating finish - sure enough on the last lap he just wound it up and wound it up and everyone else just floundered around all over the place trying to get past him. He just carried on all smooth and eased across the line first.
Vaatainen in the '71 Helsinki Euro 5K and 10K (they're both great). This and Bedford's WR got me into the sport. Look on Youtube.

Both are great choices, but for a single performance long kick you must consider Abdi Bile finishing in 1:46.0 at the '87 WC and dropping Cram. The race starts at 6:14 on the link below. Earlier in the link is Bile defeating Coe at the '89 World Cup finishing in :52. Injury after injury or Bile may have gone down as one of the all-time great milers.

Harold Norpoth ran a ridiculous last 600m in a 5000m race, and smoked Pre, in Europe. I don't remember the time for the last part, but it was crazy fast.
Any number of Miruts Yifter's races could be discussed, in regards to great finishing kicks. He often ran about 38-39 seconds for the last 300m of 5,000m or 10,000m races.
The Finish doper, Kantainen (spelling?) who won the European Championships in 1971 was crazy fast (about 51 seconds for the last 400m of a 10,000m race).
Femin Cacho's sprint finish of a 1500m at the OG was 51 and change.
Abdi Bilie and Paul Ereng had some very fast finishes.
I saw Paul Ereng run 51 and change at the Prefontain Classic, about 5 or 6 years ago. He ran about 13:06 in the 5000m. He didn't even start his "kick" until 300m left, and he still ran under 52 seconds for the last 400m. Sitting in C-section, on the homestretch, I clocked him at 38 seconds for the last 300m.
One might argue one of the best group finishes ever was run by Schul, Norpoth, Jazy, and Dellinger, in the 5,000m final of the 1964 Olympic Games. ON cinders, as it rained, the pace over the last 300m was 38.3 for Schul. I have viewed the videos and think that Dellinger ran even faster.
