on pure numbers, you'd think it would have to be NYC because it has soooooo many people, however there really aren't all that many runners in NYC, let alone people who read letsrun. Maybe it's Denver. who knows

Yes, I really do. I actually just moved to Leland. Have lived in Wilmington for the past 5 years. Not a lot of places to run in leland but you can find decent places if you're not afraid to offroad in the middle of nowhere.

I guess not. What is the U S S Leland? Yes humidity is bad but running from 8 to 9 at night makes it bearable.

There always seems to be quite a few chiming in from Los Angeles.
NYC was awarded the last men's marathon Olympic Trials in part because it's got more letsrunners (but fewer trails) than the next two cities combined.
According to Google Trends, most searches for Letsrun come from Eugene by quite a large margin. It isn't conclusive, but it is more information we can use on our quest for the truth.
Apparently the one person patient enough to deal with LRC's blecherous search facility lives in Eugene.

Along #74/#76, near the exit for #17 (Myrtle Beach), a retaining pond had a rusted barge that was half above & half below the water. The eyesore sat there for years with a spraypainted "U.S.S. Leland" on the side. Locals used it as a landmark for directions for years ("exit at the U.S.S. Leland...."). I think they finally removed it a few years back or you would know my reference.
Even after dark the humidity is a factor. I don't miss my shorts getting so wet during a run that they sagged like a diaper.
