Canseco may be an obnoxious schmuck, but he has been right on this issue. Of course, it's a lot easier to come clean after you're out of the game.
Red Sox have made some wise dumps, but Damon has been solid last 1.5 years, Derek Lowe, Roger Clemens, and many other former Sox over the years have been solid or even better.
Damon hasn't been $53 million solid. And we now know that Clemens had to hit the juice himself to revitalize his career. You're right about Lowe, although it's not like he's won a Cy Young award.
