    Agreed. But does anyone see a problem with more people are able to compete on the track than in the marathon? You can fit hundreds...thousands on the roads, yet the want a field of 30-40. On the track though 60+ qualifiers in the 800 is fine?

    I don't understand the logic.

    The marathon is a final. Maybe that's their logic.
