Marty Brenneman without a doubt. He and Nuxie were just fabulous to listen to. Gus Johnson would be second in my book.
Also, the guy who did the "THE BEARS WIN, THE BEARS WIN!!!!!" call must have been pretty good. That's probably the most intense and prolonged sports call in history.
If you asked me to list things that come into mind when I think of college football, Keith Jackson's voice would be one of those things. I can't think of any other announcer who I can say that about.

I think the same way. When I hear his voice I think of Big 10 football...I can almost hear the band playing in the background.
Baseball: Skip Carey, especially back in the 80's when the Braves were truly horrid.

Basketball: Chick Hearn, amen. Dickie V.
Football: Musberger and Herbstreit (sp?). Lou Holtz cause he is hilarious to listen to, although some may think he is annoying. I just love college football.
Cycling: Leggit and Sherwen, especially when Lance was (will be?) rolling everyone up.
Track: Dwight Stones and Larry Rawson, especially because it that means track is actually on tv. Wasn't it Liquori who was doing it during El Guerrouj's Athens races? Sick, although he always sounds pissed off or something.
Soccer: The original guy from like Univision or something that all the Mexican announcers try to emulate. Says "goal" forever...
Tommy Smyth and Derek Rae, although if you do a search on Google for Tommy many people hate him. There are a couple other guys that did the Eurocup in addition to them that were pretty good, too.
Football/Basketball: Wayne Larrivee
Baseball: Ken 'The Hawk' Harrelson. In my opinon, greatest home run calls of all time. "You can put it on the boooarrrd....YEESSS!"
Golf: Jim Nantz - especially during The Masters
College FB: Keith Jackson
Track: Larry Rawson - knows his stuff.
Paul Sherwen and Phil Liggett, if they announced track ratings would soon double if not triple. Larry Rawson may be a nice guy and know a lot about track but should not be let near a microphone.
I always liked Larry Rawson. Also, Dwight Stones. I used to really like Brent Mussburger (when younger) but now see his faults. Al Michaels one of best of all time. Dickie V was novelty eons ago but now just annoying. Johnny Miller is great in his iconclastic take on the sport. So many to list...

I worked for the Kings' PR department as an intern in the early to mid 80s and got to know Bob Miller and his color commentator Nick Nickson pretty well. Nick was eventually replaced by former King Jim Fox. Bob was a good guy who broke into announcing through his days with the Minnesota Gophers (I think?).

Joe Tate, Cleveland Cavaliers radio play by play since the 70's. This guy works the game by himself, pretty tough thing to do for basketball. Great play by play call and color commentary. A lot of times they will dub his voice over a Lebron James dunk on the Sportscenter Top Ten plays.

I was just going to say Joe Tate. Sadly, I have season tickets and watch the away games on tv with Austin and Fred so I don't hear Joe much. I might take my walk-man radio to the next game and see if it comes in inside the Q. That is the only way I go to Indians games.
