GVS, Mines, and Metro all should be on that list.
ACU didn't run there second fastest returning runner. I pick them as the favriote to win.
Stop putting queens at the top they won't make it
Western Will be good, although not like previous years they have three solid top 15 guys: Penel, Clark, Donnan.
I haven't checked out NM highlands, it will all depend on their 4 and 5 guys if they have three Kenyans.
OK, being neutral.... Gasore is done. Deal with it. Done. So ACU will be still be good without him.
And Queens? Well, it's is too early for roosters to be crowing but Simmons knows how to win. Don't count them in, but don't count them out.
What is said here really means nothing. Rankings are wishes and seven guys running fast on one day is what matters.
Let's talk again in November. But our talk now is meaningless.
Go Metro!

Gasore isn't done. He is a Sr. & didn't run in the 1st meet.
Naimadu & Birgen are done.
Lol, metro.
ACU could be hard to beat..
In addition to Gasore, Birgen--top 30 at NCAA's last year, did not run the first race.
Adams looked very strong at home against a weak field that included Western, but WSC was without most of who would be expected to be their top runners. Times were pretty much like last year...Some have ripped ACU for too big a spread in the top 5 (reminder 2 did not race)--but Adams also had over 1:40 to their #5...Are Medigovich and Wagnew going to compete this year? They were listed as unattached...Of course counting on "Baby" Wagnew when it might count is asking a lot.
The RMAC will again be stacked--ASC, I'm figuring WSC is going to find at least 5 or 6 guys who can mix it up pretty well, Mines will be strong, Metro is a year older and better, NMH has three solid Africans and could be a factor...if Kazingo is the new guy, he ran 29:40 for 10k last spring.
The Central (formerly North central) will be well represented at the national meet. Abilene, Harding, Chico, Grand Valley, take your pick on the fifth---and five Central region teams will make up the top 10 in November.
XCobserver pretty much has it right.
I have a feeling ACU, Western, ASC (unattached runners), and Some other schools did leave out some of their top runners in actual uniform.
Is weather going to play a big part at Nationals?
Top ten in Sunny hot weather:
1. ACU
2. ASC
3. Harding
4. Western
5. Chico
6. Minn. Mankato
7. GV
8. Mines
9. Metro
10. NM Highlands
Top ten in Snowy Cold Weather:
1. ASC
2. Western
3. ACU
4. Minn. Mankato
5. Chico
6. Mines
7. GV
8. Harding
9. Metro
10. NM Highlands
Western boys have checked their huevos with the new coach Michels. Ol'Vandenbusche is no longer kicking their ass every day at practice. Which team will show up? They were perfect scored in 1992 by Adams State at Slippery Rock but they won last time there. I think this is the year that Adams gets its revenge. Western didn't run very well last track season and has lost oo much talent from last year.
whoever says grand valley doesnt have to run in the snow come winter clearly has never been to west michigan. they get lake affect snow like you guys have never seen before.
I think people are over estimating the weather and under estimating the hills. In the past Kenyans have run fine in the cold but some teams have struggled with the hills in the past.
Burroughs (ACU) has had good experience with Africanos running well in the NYC cold. I bet the PA weather-thing is already on his mind.
Not surprised ACU didn’t run a full team. It's an Iona thing, not running full top 7 until NC's.
i think you are underestimating the weather. if its not snowing/ feet of snow on the ground then it will be a flood and the course should get torn up
those hills are supposed to be crazyy too
That course would be insane if its muddy. I think it would show who the true cross country teams are...

???????????
He's completely 100% wrong about Gasore.
ACU graduated Naimadu & Birgen.
They added Maina, Tanui, White.
BTW: Tanui ran 18:49 last week for 4 mile race.
SOL for the rest of D2 CC again.
1. Adams OR Chico
3. Western
4. Abilene
5. Harding
Nothing else matters after this.
Harding isn't getting by Minn Mankato, or Mines.
Ever heard of a guy name Daniel Kirwa? 10k champ ; 28:xx
Or maybe Julius Kosgei? 2nd @ NCAA XC 06 ; 29:19
Or maybe Artur Kern? 3rd @ NCAA 5k track 07 ; 29:45
Or maybe James Cheruiyot? 2time xc all-american ; 30:40
Or maybe Phillip Biwott? sub 31 10k @ altitude
All of those guys are either All-American and or have broken 31 for 10k xc and you think mankato or mines will show them up? that'll be the day..
