Could it be muscle fibers + altitude + training + the desire to have a better life?

Were you training with Rosa and ...? Never mind. We know you're just some liberal geek trying to defend the indefensible. You've probably been to Kenya the same number of times as Native Son. That number is 0. The amount of alcohol and drug abuse I saw in Nairobi etc. years ago - never mind other parts of Africa - is way more than enough to convince me and others that Kenyans will do more than take aspirin. Get real.

More insight and honesty than you'd find after scouring all of Native Son's or dunceunner's posts.
you don't know sheet
spiderrico can you tell me your iq score it probably is low you don't sound like a smart man.
NativeSon: Una taka quenda kimbia na mimi ?
The camp in nyahururu, do you know if kiptabui is still training people there? I heard it kinda disentigrated after Kim's death. Do you know how Patrick Sang trains his runners?
Yesu ana Nipenda

If your writing skills (punctuation, capitalization, etc.) are any indicator, your IQ must be very low, bdy.
For what its worth, the guys I've met & run with (d-1, d-2 guys) all said that running was an oppurtunity for them to better their lives--usually financially!

The same way Kim's runners trained. Lots of tempo runs, long runs for strength, long intervals, and shots of EPO when races approach.
Kip,
It's been long since I was in Kenya. Nilitoka huko 1999. By then, most runners were camping at a hotel (Kawa falls) in Nyahururu town because Kiptanui's camp was being constructed. I never went there. Now that the camp is complete, I understand that the athletes reside there. I am also not sure who the coaches are-Sang or whoever.
All in all, Nyahururu is a very ideal place. it is generally cool and has very few distractions.
kwenu ni wapi ndugu??
By the way, i have been to all those areas where most of these athletes come from like Iten, Kapsabet, Nandi hills, Eld, e.t.c. I used to work in that region.

cant you say something with a touch of intelligence. Sorry a rhetoric question.
There is no secret.
white people can't run for shit. They blame everything on Drugs.
Pussies.
BigBdy i want to know your iq too are you stupid too?
Maybe i just havent looked around enough but why is it such a big deal between what one type of body is better at compared to another. I dont hear africans screaming drugs drugs about those people on Worlds Strongest Man or anything. People are built differently and just need to find what their body type is best at and work towards that. Just because americans cant do something right now doesnt mean nobody can unless they used drugs.
Merely observing, not passing judgement. Let's see some evidence.
But certainly agree with your observations about alcohol. The levels of alcohol abuse among male athletes are very high, just like the general population. This is one of the contributors to short careers that many kenyans have.
jambo bwana, nimekimbia ipo nyahururu. The KIM camp is still there but moses is now based near kaptagat. This summer there were still many runners in Nyahururu including Sammy Kipketer and Charles Kamathi and the tanzanians John Yuda and Fabian Joseph. Still a great place to train.
Ngugi has sold his place though and i think is now in nairobi
Could the imposter using my name stop doing this forthwith. He logs in as Native Son. However, I am NativeSon. There is no space in my name. It is one name and not two.
On another note, Nandi warrior, are you from Nyahururu? You seem to know a thing or two about this great place.

Hey man I know I'm slow but I never blamed it on the drugs
