Same here. I asked for the link a while back, but received no response.

Here it is.
The voices in track these days are more honest than those in other sports, even about doping. Anthony Famiglietti, winner of the 3,000-meter steeplechase, is a native New Yorker who lives in Tennessee, studies Buddhism and attends Methodist and Baptist services. He wears a beard now; the first time he ran in Beijing, in 2001, he sported a Mohawk. After his win in Eugene, he said his goal was Olympic bronze. Not gold? "There's going to be people out there who cheat," he said. "I live in reality. But maybe I can sneak in and steal it from one of those dirty jerks and get the bronze."
http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?id=3487979doesnt sound too bad to me. He doesnt mince words, simple as that. There are dirty runners, and they are jerks, just as all cheaters are. Kudos to Fam for telling it like it is.
I see why you're bothered by his remarks. Considering that his PR in the steeplechase is barely under 8:18 and was set four years ago, there are probably a hundred guys from Kenya alone who could beat him in that event without cheating. It is rather ungracious, and perhaps even delusional, for a guy at his level to suggest that he's fighting for an Olympic medal against a bunch of dopers. He should consider himself lucky to be able to compete in the Olympics. Many better runners won't have that opportunity.

I just had to start my own thread regarding this pricked unshorn boy. I'll probably feel good afterwards.
I saw his comments yesterday but didn't have the time to read the whole thing.
His rather tasteless comments regarding other athletes' illegitimate success are totally baseless and without foundation. Rather than rant and rave, he should just adduce evidence or shut up!
I'll just have to wish him well at Beijing and also hope that his legs will do the talking for him.
You be stupid.
